    Fellowship is at the heart of the Christian faith, and it is something we joyfully champion in the Parish of Upper Deal and Great Mongeham. Our parish is alive with activities for all ages — offering spaces to meet, learn, share, and grow together in Christ. Often, our gatherings also involve fun, food, and friendship!

    Fellowship & Events

    We believe fellowship is vital to growing together in Christ. Our parish hosts a wide variety of community groups and activities, including:

    • Community Café – Mondays, St Richard’s, 9.30am–12noon
    • Coffee Morning – Tuesdays, St Leonard’s Centre, 9.30–11.30am
    • Friendship Lunch – 1st Thursday of the month, St Richard’s, 12noon
    • Froglets (toddler group) – Fridays (term time), St Richard’s, 10am–12noon
    • Knit Knacks – 1st Tuesday of the month, St Leonard’s Centre, 2–4pm
    • Memory Support Café – 2nd & last Tuesday, St Richard’s, 4–6pm
    • Men’s Breakfast – 1st Saturday of the month, Sir Norman Wisdom, 8.30am
    • Mother’s Union Holy Communion – Weekly, Thursday, 10am
    • Prayer Group – 2nd Saturday of the month, St Martin’s, 10am
    • Support Hub for Ukraine – Thursdays, St Richard’s, 9.30am–12noon
    • Youth Choir – 1st Sundays 10am.
    • Handbell Ringers – Tuesdays, St Leonard’s, 7–8pm

    Mothers’ Union

    “Mothers’ Union are the heart and love of the Church” – The Most Reverend Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury

    Mothers’ Union is an international Christian organisation supporting families worldwide since 1876. With over 4 million members in 84 countries, the MU works to combat poverty, inequality, and injustice—rooted in prayer and action.

    In our parish, we have an active MU Branch with 23 members.

    • Corporate Communion Service – 1st Thursday of the month, St Leonard’s Lady Chapel, 10am
    • Monthly Meeting – 2nd Tuesday of the month, Social Centre Lounge, 2.30pm (£1 entry, includes refreshments, raffle, and activity)
